Uncared for Dogs

Do you know someone how tethers their dog or leaves in caged outside all the time, with little or no human interaction or in circumstances you find abhorrent?  Here is a place you can give the address of the dog/dogs and the owner will get information about how to better care for their dogs.

Did you know you can have us mail an educational letter and brochure to owners of chained or penned dogs all year long? You can remain anonymous. Just fill out the address form at this link and we will get information in the mail within two business days. Thank you for caring about the chained and penned dogs.

Lilly!

Easter is right around the corner and for many people that means beautiful flower arrangements at home. If you have cats, be sure there are NO LILIES in your arrangements! For more information, check out this short blog post from the AERC in Minnesota.
If your cat does get into lilies, get it immediately to a veterinary hospital for treatment! The sooner treatment starts the better.

Chocolate

With Easter fast approaching, make sure you keep any chocolate goodies well away from curious paws. Human chocolate contains theobromine, which is highly toxic to dogs and other pets. High quality chocolate poses the biggest risk; an average (30-45g) bar of dark chocolate contains enough theobromine to fatally poison a small dog such as a Yorkshire Terrier. Like this post if you’ll be locking away your choccies this year! Team PDSA
