Those snack bags can be killers!

From the Dog Food Advisor (We say no!)

Attention Dog Lovers - Some canned dog foods now contain softened, slow-cooked CHICKEN BONES. However, unlike traditional cooked chicken bones which can splinter, manufacturers claim these bones are safe and healthy for your dog to eat. Some currently available bone-in canned foods includes Merrick's Wingaling, Smothered Comfort, and Gameday Tailgate flavors as well as Castor and Pollux Organix Butcher & Bushel.

Why Procter & Gamble Is Dropping Out of Pet Foods

The company is selling its three major pet food brands to Mars, the leader in the $74.5 billion global pet food market, for $2.9 billion. The deal unlocks cash the company can use to fuel research and development in markets closer to P&G’s core businesses or to return to shareholders. It does not include P&G’s pet food business in Europe, which it is working to sell separately.

Selling to Mars?  The company with the class action law suit!  Num num!

For Mars, meanwhile, the Iams, Eukanuba, and Natura brands it is acquiring will complement a stable of top sellers such as Whiskas, Greenies, and Royal Canin. “Exiting pet care is an important step in our strategy to focus P&G’s portfolio on the core businesses where we can create the most value for consumers and shareowners,” Procter & Gamble’s Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer A.G. Lafley said in a statement today announcing the sale. Translation: Dog food was rather a dog of a performer.

Warning to Dog Lovers - NaturalNews has announced a number of pet treats it tested were found to contain toxic levels of heavy metals. Lead was discovered in both Natural Rawhide Rings by PetSafe and Mundy Rawhide Gourmet Dog Treats by Cadet. The most seriously contaminated treats had been imported from China. According to the author, just one of these rawhide rings "would expose your dog to over 24 times the daily lead limit set by California Proposition 65. That's almost a month's worth of lead in a single pet treat." And even though heavily-contaminated treats can kill your pet in just hours, those with only moderate levels of heavy metals can still build up an a dog's body and cause chronic poisoning over time. Please be sure to share this disturbing news with other pet owners. Learn more by visiting the following link:http://www.naturalnews.com/044795_pet_treats_toxic_heavy_metals_Made_in_China.html

HE’S BACK!  Markwell from the Olympic Animal Sanctuary, knows as the Sanctuary of Horrors.

We received word today that Steve Markwell may be back living at the warehouse in Forks, WA. His silver truck, a horse trailer, a camper and a semi truck have been seen there. (All property that belonged to OAS, which is now defunct.)

Will Forks authorities allow Markwell to go back to collecting dogs again and turn their heads to neglect? Or will they prosecute him now considering there is ample documentation of neglect -- something Rod Fleck and Byron Monohan claimed they didn't have enough of before? There are all kinds of photos and REAL vet reports now -- and one saying it was the worst case of neglect he's seen (6-8 weeks without food!). There were even newscasts for the world to see, so they can't honestly say there's not enough proof.

Fleck, Monohan and the city authorities have their proof of the neglect and abuse the dogs endured at the hands of Markwell / OAS, so will Rod Fleck and Byron Monohan and the Forks Authorities do something or will they once again tuck their cowardly heads.

How about we call them and find out?
